In situations where there is not enough wall space, the wall cavity is not very deep or the mailboxes are simply required to stand alone, the DAD freestanding range provides a number of well-designed solutions to meet these requirements. These can be installed internally or externally. The wide choice of surrounds and frames allows the units to be integrated with either the interior or exterior décor of the building.
Standard series
Mailboxes for front delivery - front retrieval applications
This is the most common application, where the mailboxes are positioned either freestanding, wall mounted or recessed within a wall. The standard mailboxes are for both external and internal use. All mailboxes will take standard A4 sized mail, and they all comply to British Standards and Secured By Design Homes 2023 requirements.
FR120 Fire rated
120 minutes fire-rated mailboxes
Our FR120 horizontal letterboxes are front delivery / front retrieval (In Front / Out Front) products. Their size and weight are perfect for any of the following applications: freestanding, wall-mounted and recessed applications. If fitted, recessed into a fire-rated wall, our FR120 Fire-rated mailboxes will maintain the integrity of the fire-rated wall and restrict the spread of fire. Working with EXOVA Warrington, our FR120 range achieved full Fire Rating (two hours integrity) to BS 476-20:1987. Our fire-rated mailboxes were successfully selected for installation at the Athlete Village during the London 2012 Olympics and are as well Secured by Design Homes 2023 guide compliant.
